Yay for Friday!

FRIDAY! Yay! Never seems to come fast enough.
Fridays are usually the nights Ava stays at Bompa & Nana's (my parents.. She can say Grandpa & Grandma just fine, but she has called them that since forever and because my mom thinks Nana sounds younger than Grandma) and Matt and I can do something together, but tonight we have peanut because Matt & I are leaving tomorrow for Marc & Emily's wedding in Des Moines. Think we'll probably watch a movie or something tonight with her.. a little Kung Fu Panda maybe? We're going to do Christmas shopping this weekend too. Well, and birthday shopping for my poor baby who has to share her birthday with the biggest holiday of the year! Oh well, I think we're good at making it special for her. At least we wrap the birthday presents in birthday paper!
I have Christmas fever SO bad. I just love Christmas. Especially with having a little one.. It's just so amazing sharing all the things that go along with such a great day with her. She's a little hard to buy for, though, which is strange since you think she'd be happy with toys at almost three years old. She's just really not that into them though. She'd rather watch a movie, do a puzzle, play dress up, or play with her babies. And she's obsessed with Spongebob. Ok, so for those of you who have never watched it, do it. Watch it a few times. Matt & I find ourselves practically watching it when Ava's not home.

Blogging? Us? What?!

Ok, so let's be honest. Pretty sure I never thought I was going to be into this whole "blogging" thing, and I'm still not sure if I am, but I saw my best friend Ang's cousin's blog and thought it was super cute & a great way for family & friends to keep informed. So I signed up. Then I never did anything about it. If you know me, that is not shocking. I'm just a *bit* of a procrastinator. Ok, maybe a huge one, but whatever. Well, to make a long story even longer, I then saw Ang's blog and decided I was going to take after her amazing ability to be organized and on top of things and get on top of our blog! Get it? Perfect.
My brand new, favorite sister-in-law is moving to New York on Tuesday, so I thought she'd maybe like to keep track of us and make sure we're in line and all with her gone. I'm going to miss you! :(
Can anyone believe that it's pretty much winter? Hate it. Ask Matt. You will never meet anyone that dislikes winter as much as me. I would move in a heartbeat if my parents would come with us and if I didn't like Spirit Lake so much to raise a child.
So glad it's Friday, even though I did have two days off this week. Matt, my dad, Matt's dad, and my brother left for Iowa City today to go to the Iowa game tomorrow, so being the baby that I am, Ava & I are staying at my mom's tonight so I don't have to be alone. We're taking Ava baby to Winnie the Pooh Live tomorrow.
